Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement
Dasmariñas, Cavite City
Spreading the faith is one of the basic objectives of the religious sector. In solidifying its missionary efforts, a chapel, convent, and ministry center was designed and established for the Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement, a New York-based Catholic order. The complex aims to cater to and accommodate their outreach programs, religious practice and routines. With ABB ArchitecturalS integrating an abundance of green alternatives, these came into play through solar power, rainwater harvesting, maximum use of natural lighting and ventilation, LED lighting, and recycled materials for the furniture.
Living Pope Francis’ Encyclical “Laudato Si” or “Care for Our Common Home” exemplifies this built environment’s marriage to its natural environment. Indeed, it is an establishment that radiates a seemingly natural connection to the mystique.
